Swings!

Rowan loves the swings. He does not love teething and sadly that is
happening now. One tooth broke through the gums this AM. Poor guy.

BBQ sur l'herbe

Alex and Moises stayed with us 2 weekends ago.  Carla, Candice and FLoyd came over for dinner.  We bbq'ed (of course) and made a fire in the firepit.  We sat out by the fire and had dinner or a big old rug of Adrian's.  Rowan slept in his chair.

4th of July

We were up at the house. Headed to Saugerties High School for the fireworks. We got there really early and had a picnic with Candice, Floyd, Steve T, Jonlyn and two new friends. Dinner was great. The fireworks took forever to start. After one kaboom, firetrucks came and they were delayed another 45 mins. We're not sure what happened, but we hit the road. Dinner and a walk around the festivities and booth was enough.

Adrian made his now-famous whole chicken on the BBQ.

Some Recent Photos from the last couple of weeks

Swimming

Rowan's getting the swimming bug. He was a little hesitant the first
time we went, but he seems to have gotten the hang of it now. He
didn't understand why the water wasn't warm like his bath.

We stopped at my friend Alex's parents house on the way upstate last
week. There was a shady part to the pool, so we had to jump in. Any
chance we get...

Picnic with Rowan

It's 90 degrees today, but it's nice in the shade by the water. We
brought a big blanket and just hung out for a few hours. Rowan has a
new fave toy, the squish. It's an old style wooden toy that he LOVES
to put in his mouth. I'm thinking he might be teething soon. Better
get out the Scotch.

Anne and Sammy

This is Anne. She watched Rowan while I was at the photo shoot last
week. We met up with jet in the park today with Sammy (rowan's best
bud).

In other news, we went to the Dr yesterday and Rowan is 13.3 lbs.
He's in the 80th percentile for height, but he's still only in the
30th for weight. His thighs make him look like a porker though. He's
happy and healthy and doing great.

Rowan first photo shoot

I took my first job last week producing a photo shoot for "Healthy
Choice."
We had a 2 day shoot this week and Rowan stopped by both days for his
"lunch." It was great to work on a job that allowed for him to be
around, but I realized that I want my last months alone with him to be
uninterrupted if possible. I miss him too much.

We had a great nanny named Anne who Rowan loved. She works for a
friend of mine, but we should be seeing her more in the future on
playdates. Anne even brought him to art galleries this week, so he is
becoming a well-cultured little dude.
