The sling
Rowan loves his sling. We can take him everywhere and he allows us to enjoy restaurants in it. He falls asleep instantly when he starts feeling the motion of breath. He thinks he's going for a ride....I guess he is.
Yesterday, I took the dog and Rowan on a long walk together using the sling (Rowan, not Elijah...though he would love it). It was great. I think a stroller and a dog might be a bit much for me right now, but we'll see.
Tonight, Rowan is going to his first art opening. It's my friend Karin Weiner's show.

Rowan will be sporting his sling once again and his best onesie. He hopes he doesn't spit up on anything. We'll give you his review of the art tomorrow...

Loving his car seat
left the car.
We went to Indian food in Woodstock tonight for our last night up
here. Rowan slept the whole time. We're sad to leave our blissful in
the country, but it will be good to see friends and family again.
1 month old
but it's not April 13 yet, so how so you figure out 1 month exactly?
It's hard to imagine, but I think we've gotten the hang of it for
now. He eats, he poos, he sleeps, lather, rinse, repeat...
It looks like he's started to smile in the last day, but we think it's
prolly gas.
We had a nice picnic outside yesterday. It was almost 70 degree. We
thought we would to the same today and BBQ stuff from the catskills
smokehouse (our favorite), but it looks a little gloomy out.
We're heading back to the city tomorrow (bummer). Adrian goes back to
work on Monday (bigger bummer) and we thought we needed a day to
settle back into city life...slowly.

Bris
Boob Man
For the first 2 weeks, this hat was the only one that fit him. None of his newborn clothes fit since he was born so small. Thanks Grandma Wilma for the hat!
Next time I promise more photos of Adrian. He's been the man behind the camera, but Rowan loves hanging with his man.
Rowan looked exactly like Adrian at birth (actually, more like Adrian at 80), but I think he's starting to look a little like both of us. He still is a little Adrian though. So cute.
Mommy and Me
Well, I'm feeling good, but the bags under my eyes haven't gone down completely yet.
Rowan is doing better at night. His days and nights are becoming a little less confused. Adrian stays up with him for the first session, so I can get some sleep. He's a good daddy. We can't wait until Rowan can go longer than 2-3 hrs between feedings, but I'm not going as crazy as I was from lack of sleep. I think I'm acclimating more.
First Bath
Yesterday, Rowan had his first bath. We couldn't wait to bath the little guy, but we were waiting for his umbilical cord to fall off. We were a little nervous, but we read up on it and managed not to drop him! He didn't seem to mind the bath too much. We'll see how it goes next time...
Elijah helped a lot too!
