BFF

Ro Ro meets a real life doll!

Howard came for a visit. We ended a long walk in central park with a
cocktail at the St. Regis Hotel. Little did we know, FAO schwartz
holds a storytelling for high tea on the weekends during the Xmas
season.

Nick, the storyteller, took a shining to Ro Ro and was very
understanding of Ro Ro's constant commentary. We heard "how the
grinch stole Xmas 3 times!"

Graham Crosby Family Vacation

Aunt Mel and Uncle Tim came to the house for a visit. We ate magical
pancakes and went for nice walks. Uncle Tim even helped Adrian stack
our wood pile while Mel, Rowan and I hit Target. Fun!

Happy Thursday

I weigh a lot

7 months

Rowan hit 7 months this past weekend. We were in Florida meeting his
great-grandma. She lived him!

We also got to spend time with jerry + carina who were in from costa
rica.

All this travelling makes rowan tired.

Rosh Hashana + Mama

We had dinner at our house for Rosh Hashana.  Our friends, Korena and Rob, joined Adrian, Rowan and my mom for a lovely Tagine.  It was the first time I cooked Tagine and I have to say it came out great.  It was a preserved lemon chicken with dried cherries and olives.  Pure yum. 

Rowan has started to adore Elijah.  I can tell they will be BFF soon!

In other news, Rowan started to say "MAMA!"  I've been saying "mamamama" and "dadadada" to him and he's started to imitate me.  Yesterday was the first day.  Now, he says it all the time, but mostly when he's upset or wants something.  Go figure!  I'm sure he doesn't know what he's saying yet as it is more of a "mamamamama.....", but it's a start!  I knew he would talk early as he's always been very vocal (just like his mommy).  He's the loudest one in his yoga class, but he's happy as a clam telling everyone his stories in his baby gibberish.  Go Rowan.

Me heart food!

We started solids and Rowan's done great so far. At first, he didn't
know what to do with it. After he figured out how to swallow, he
started to love it. His whole body loves it too since that's where
most of the food lands. We're training Elijah to take care of clean up!

Check out my new stroller

Now that I can sit up on my own a bit, I can use this great umbrella
stroller. It's perfect for getting in and out of places easily.

Mack Daddy Ro-Ro

Here's Rowan's Cali look.

Unfortunately, he came home with his first cold. I think he got it somewhere between LA and La Jolla on the train. Poor guy. He's handling it well though. He's still smiling, but every few minutes, he can't breathe b/c his nose is blocked. We're steaming him a lot. My mom mentioned that you can't teach a kid to blow their nose and I realize that it is so tough for him to not be able to blow it all out. That would really clear him up. In the meantime, we'll keep steaming and using saline nose spray. I know it's mean, but he's so cute right now. He buries his little face in my chest when he gets all upset.

PS- That hot babe with him is Lisa.

5 months

Yay! I'm 5 months. I celebrated my monthery in LA.

I did had lots of firsts on this trip like:

Went into the pacific ocean
Went to Siggraph nerd-fest
Met my new buds Keo + Luka
Flew business class
Went to La Jolla

It was great.

Summer

It was a beautiful summer day and our pear trees are in bloom. Life
is good.

Sleep!

Rowan started sleeping through the night this week. What a treat! We
were going to start some sort of sleep training, but he just slept 12
hrs on his own. Go Rowan!

Now, we hope he sleeps well on the west coast next week.

Swings!

Rowan loves the swings. He does not love teething and sadly that is
happening now. One tooth broke through the gums this AM. Poor guy.

BBQ sur l'herbe

Alex and Moises stayed with us 2 weekends ago.  Carla, Candice and FLoyd came over for dinner.  We bbq'ed (of course) and made a fire in the firepit.  We sat out by the fire and had dinner or a big old rug of Adrian's.  Rowan slept in his chair.

4th of July

.



We were up at the house. Headed to Saugerties High School for the fireworks. We got there really early and had a picnic with Candice, Floyd, Steve T, Jonlyn and two new friends. Dinner was great. The fireworks took forever to start. After one kaboom, firetrucks came and they were delayed another 45 mins. We're not sure what happened, but we hit the road. Dinner and a walk around the festivities and booth was enough.

Adrian made his now-famous whole chicken on the BBQ.
